This documentary is a 15-minute retrospective of the 16th annual film festival originated by Roger Ebert in his hometown of Urbana-Champaign, and which now continues on in his name and legacy. Featuring appearances by Chaz Ebert, Patton Oswalt, Spike Lee, Oliver Stone, Brie Larson, Bennett Miller, Ramin Bahrini and more.

Every year, Roger and Chaz Ebert, in association with the University of Illinois College of Media, put on a 5-day film festival in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Roger’s home town. The festival takes place at the historic Virginia Theater in the heart of downtown Champaign. Major filmmakers, stars, historians, critics and film-lovers from all over the world come to experience this annual celebration that includes films both old and new, hand-picked by Roger himself with the help of Chaz and festival director, Nate Kohn.
